The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill opened at 68 South 1400 West, the second Utah restaurant from franchise partners Phillip Geurts and Alex Lignell following their Cedar City debut. With more than two decades of combined restaurant experience, the duo is focused on quality Mediterranean dining, local jobs and community investment in a fast-growing region.
Mother-daughter owners Diala and Carolyn Michael brought the brand to Illinois for the first time at 1246 W. Boughton Road, drawing on their Mediterranean heritage and a shared love of the cuisine. Launch celebrations included a public ribbon-cutting ceremony and a donation of 15% of opening-day sales to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Owner Joseph Nichols opened at 515 Ring Road, at the entrance to Layton's Restaurant Row, joined by several generations of his family including his father and nephew. The opening featured a ribbon-cutting with the Davis Chamber of Commerce and a donation drive supporting the Utah Youth Village.
Michael and Tiffany Boulant opened their second location at 2925 S. Alma School Road in Las Tiendas Village, building on the success of their Gilbert restaurant. Operating Manager Anthony Gianmugnai brings his leadership to the new 2,200-square-foot space, which seats 44 inside and 32 on the patio.
Franchise partners Phillip Geurts and Alex Lignell opened near downtown Cedar City at 565 S. Main St., bringing a combined 20-plus years of restaurant experience to Utah's "Festival City." A public ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the launch, with 20% of opening-day sales donated to the Utah Food Bank.
Friends and business partners Kevin Chauvette and John Hall opened at 125 S. Broadway in Salem Park Plaza, their second restaurant after Manchester, with a third planned. The 3,196-square-foot space sits across from Tuscan Village and seats 50 guests indoors plus 12 seasonally outside.
Owner Sanjay Garg, who also operates the brand's location in The Colony, opened at 1079 W. Round Grove Road, Suite 140. The grand opening celebration included a ribbon-cutting and a donation of 20% of the day's net sales to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Owner and operator Ayub Bhuiyan, who brings decades of hospitality experience, opened at 1950 Satellite Blvd. in the Sugarloaf Center. The 2,800-square-foot restaurant seats 57 inside and 10 on the patio, steps from the Gas South Convention Center, and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting alongside the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.
Owner Ravinder Singh Jarral opened at 5701 S. Custer Road in the Inception Retail Center, running day-to-day operations with support from his family and fulfilling a longtime dream of serving fresh, healthy food. The 2,100-square-foot restaurant serves the Craig Ranch, The Grove, Westridge and Tucker Hill neighborhoods.
After success in Charleston and Mount Pleasant, the Willis family opened at 100 Gosling Way in Summerville's Uptown center at Carnes Crossroads. The 46-seat restaurant brings the brand's clean food and relaxed atmosphere to Dorchester County.
Sam Sawiris, inspired by three years spent living in Greece and Cyprus, opened at 1830 Rancho Del Oro Road, Suite 150, in the new Arroyo Verde shopping center. The 2,000-square-foot restaurant seats 48 in the dining room and 36 on the patio, near business parks and Frontwave Arena.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill opened at 19713 Hwy 213 in the Trails End Marketplace, adding to the brand's rapidly expanding footprint. The location offers indoor seating for 39 and outdoor seating for 10, with dine-in, pick-up, catering and delivery available.
Owner Mike Habashy, born and raised in Cairo, opened at 2040 U.S. Highway 9 in the new ShopRite Plaza. The grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting with the Mayor's Office of Economic Development and an all-day fundraiser donating 20% of net sales to Calvary Chapel Old Bridge.
Owner Ayan Mohammad Khurram brought the brand to Wisconsin for the first time at 28481 E. Moreland Blvd., offering a healthier alternative to typical fast food. Brand president Bob Andersen joined in welcoming the flagship Wisconsin restaurant, a 1,900-square-foot space seating 30 guests.
Raja Ramu and Preethi Indirajith, both former software engineers, opened at 2620 S. Tracy Blvd., Suite 110B, answering a need for more diverse dining on the city's south side. The 57-seat restaurant offers dine-in, pick-up, catering, delivery and free Wi-Fi.
Franchise owner and longtime food-service professional Manish Patel opened the 2,715-square-foot restaurant at 4414 SW College Road. The opening included a ribbon-cutting with the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership and a fundraiser donating 25% of net sales to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
Dany Askar, who also owns the brand's Santa Ana restaurant, opened at 3965 Alton Parkway, Suite B, with his family and a team of 22 employees. The Westpark location seats 50 in the dining room and 36 on the patio, with free delivery through its website plus free catering setups and Wi-Fi.
